Please be patient as you read this book, which combines admirable brevity with great spiritual depth. It is the mark of a true classic that every time you read a page, you glean something new. Mother Teresa famously said: "Whatever you believe in, go deeper into it, then you will know the Truth."

On Abundant Life
"…I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest."John 10:10 — CEV Bible
I believe this is what our Lord Jesus Christ, Triune God gives us: Abundant Life. "Life in its fullest." When there is deep contentment and gratitude in us to God, when we realize we have much more than we deserve, that Salvation is the greatest of all blessings — this is Abundant Life.
Christianity Today says it well: Abundant life is not about what we have. It's not about what we get. Ultimately, abundant life is about what we receive as a gift from the Lord — and to live knowing we are stewards of the blessings of God. When we have enough of the blessings of God to share with others, and then actually do it; that's when we truly have abundant life.
Jana Gana Mana
A favourite reflection: India's National Anthem by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, whose meaning resonates beautifully with themes of salvation and unity.
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people, dispenser of India's destiny. Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind, Gujarat and Maratha, of the Dravid and Orissa and Bengal. It echoes in the hills of Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganga, and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea. The salvation of all people is in thy hand. Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.

Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action —
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake."
— Rabindranath Tagore
Why I believe in Jesus Christ
A personal reflection: 63-year-old male, born to Christian parents, Indian, with average education and faculties in reasonable working condition.
- I am a weak person and need help to live my life well.
- I have done enough wrong in my life, and there must be retribution I cannot meet.
- I do not wish to fear physical death.
- I want courage to face difficulties head-on.
- I want certainty that after death I will go to where God is.
- I accept that a pure blood sacrifice is needed for full recompense.
- I believe wrongdoing is separation from God (sin).
- I believe in the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for all people.
- I believe in the Bible and the Triune God.
Better people than me have put their faith in Jesus Christ — my grandfather, great-grandfather, parents, wife. I am impressed by the greatest commandments: "Love God, Love others as you love yourself." The Way to go? Yes.
